Shelby had made several comments about her last portrait not being bright enough, so I used all the colors of a sunset to create this piece. I mixed the colors on the canvas, while painting, rather than on the pallet.
She is my angel, and if it wasn’t for her there are many days filled with futility, in which I wonder why I’m even alive. I struggle with a constant metaphysical dilemma, and for me, she makes it all make sense. She is my light in the darkness, my hope in despair. Surrendering my heart to her is to vanquish fear with love.
